Dan Jones wins Song of the Year at UK Country Music Awards

    Shropshire country artist Dan Jones has won Song of the Year at the UK Country Music Awards for his original track, “One More Whiskey for the Road”. The guitarist and singer songwriter travelled to Derby for the awards ceremony, where he performed the nominated song live before it was announced as the winner later that evening. “One More Whiskey for the Road” wins award Jones, who is also a member of a Luke Combs UK tribute act, said winning the award came as a complete surprise. He said: “I was totally blown away to win, I did not expect anything. I was just happy to attend the awards and perform my song, but to come away having won the award was just fantastic.” Jones was also pictured at the ceremony alongside Allan Watkiss of UK Country Radio.
